As an additional layer of service, Charlotte Stump Grinding can haul off the wood chips created by the grinding of the stump for an additional charge, or leave them behind for use in your beds or natural areas. If you like, we can provide soil remediation as well - so that it appears that the tree and stump were never there or we can leave the hole exposed so a new tree may be put back in the old ones place. Please mention if you are interested in these services so we can offer an accurate quote.

We serve homeowners and landscaping companies in the Charlotte area, whether your stump is large or small, we have the experience to get your stump removed right. To get started, call us for a free estimate and let us know where your stump is located. If we have access to the stump we can provide an estimate over the phone so you do not have to take time off from work for your stump grinding needs. Our stump grinder is also landscape friendly as we have a portable, self-propelled stump grinder that can access those hard to reach areas. Your yard will not be trenched up as we do not require a truck to backup the stump grinder to your stump. Our machine will fit through gates as narrow as 36 inches. If you have neighbors who also have stumps that need attention we will be happy to offer you a discount for removing all of your stumps at the same time.

- You may not want to remove a tree stump if the stump is maintaining the stability of a slope or embankment. We will carefully evaluate your individual situation and can often sustain the integrity of the slope while ensuring your stump is less visible.
How do we Remove your Tree Stumps?
- If your stump is not already cut close to the ground, we will give it a fresh low cut.
- We will then use the preferred method, grinding the stump slowly by shaving the stump continuously until the depth and area required for removal are met.
- Finally we will clean up all the wood chips from the stump grinding and haul them off or leave behind for your landscaping needs.

How to Measure a Stump?
- Get the diameter across the widest part of the stump, including the stumps surface roots (not just the top of the stump).
- Your stump may have a much larger root system below ground than is visible at the surface. Often times the stump is much larger below grade level.
